June Picture Overload

Since I am so far behind in blogging and I just did a May photo Dump last week, I figured I might as well recap you all on June before getting caught up with July!

June started off by us saying goodbye to our dear friend, Gizmo!  Little guy gave us 16 wonderful years of snuggles and licks and has been extremely missed.

Then we headed to Roanoke to celebrate our cousin, Cassie's wedding!  Road Trip with the family (too bad I do not know how to censor photos)...

By the end of the night, Andy went causal!

Then Tiffany found a project for me, busy boxes with felt creative boards, so I stocked up and got to work creating some for the Nephews!

Pete the Cat

Tree with leaves!

No worries, Brutus still got some snuggle times in there!

Here are some of the finished projects, each in its own labeled bag....

June was not without its fair share of festivals, we had...THE BACON FESTIVAL

We also celebrated a very late birthday for Kristi at The Betty on Davis, wonderful Richmond restaurant you should check out like NOW!

Then we went to Maymont with Bethany and Kristi early on Saturday morning for a walk!

And then CJ and I hit up the VEGETARIAN FESTIVAL, before ending the day at the

 SAVOR VIRGINIA festival!

I closed out the last weekend of the month in Norfolk, VA for an extra long weekend with the kids (a more dedicated post to come on that later with its own fair share of photos), but here is a sneak peak at Corbin playing with his new felt art!

On the way back to Richmond on Sunday, June 28th, CJ and I meet up at Busch Gardens to explore and to once again hit up the FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL there!

What did you do in May or June?  Any fun things you suggest in and around the Richmond area??

May Picture Overload

Why yes, yes you did read that right!  MAY!  No worries that we are now less than 10 hours until July starts, you are going to see what the happenings were in May!  I never did update on my last trip to Norfolk and now I have been back again so it seems I need to get better about actually updating my blog!

Get ready for an overload of pictures!

On mother's day, mom and I went to pick up Nannie and took it super classy with a lunch at Burger King.  In all fairness, it is harder to get here out and about now, plus she does not like to be gone too far, so we had to go somewhere close that had a dessert option she would like (and Burger King has Hershey's Pies which she happens to love).  Obviously you have to wear the crown when there, so enjoy these precious moments....

May also happens to be my most favorite fruit picking season...STRAWBERRIES!  Strawberries to me rank right up there with pizza and ice cream--delicious!  So I can never get enough when they are in season.  CJ and I took a trip to the berry farm and picked away...

The berries were beautiful and I, of course, made some jam!

May also was a fun birthday month, we celebrate Kathryn with a surprise dinner at Toast (which Tom arranged for her)!  I think she was quite surprised, good job Tom!!! :)

Then we had a bible study dinner and celebration for Kristi and Kathryn since they have birthdays so close together.  Kristi got her favorite cake from Martin's and Kathryn got Chocolate covered Strawberries!

I also got to spend a little time with Bethany while Kristi and Mike went out, so of course there was a few cute pictures of her!

Then in late May, Sara came to Richmond for a visit.  We went to a few different vineyards and got into a few other things....

We bond over our love of petting animals, which forcing CJ to take pictures...

CJ took her job seriously!
 An epic google+ creation....

The horses were not too interested until we found some hay, then we had a friend for life...

"She thinks my trackers sexy"
We also managed to hit up the Lebanese food festival and got some Loukomades!  YUM!

As always, it was wonderful to spend time together!

Then Sunday evening after Sara left, we had the Night to Remember for the end of the year with youth group!

The following weekend, I went down to Norfolk to hang out with these cuties....

apparently pretty indifferent about the swing
On Friday, we went to the park

Then that evening, Corbin and I got to go out for a special treat--FROYO!

Saturday Morning we headed to the Living Museum after a morning snack of muffins...

Mother of twins...

...and a 4 year old
I loved this google+ creation cause it really shows what goes into getting just ONE good picture when you are dealing with 3 small kids...

And a google+ of me trying to get a cute picture with the boys, notice Corbin peek through in the background...

I always have so much fun with this little one...
me and my buddy

 We made forts...

Ate chocolate...
 played in the sandbox...
 and gave hugs!

Then it was home again late Sunday night so as to beat the traffic on Memorial Day Monday!

But Emily and CJ and precious Caleb came over for a Memorial Day cookout....
Look at me stand!
Then to close out the end of May, Emily & Kevin had a Brunswick stew cookout on a super hot day in late May.

On the last Sunday in May, Amanda was in town so we went to the Greek Festival for some yummy food and Baklava!

And of course, no month is complete without Brutus snuggles!

Now we shall see what fun June brings (hint--there was lots of fun in June as well).
