What is going on?

Well the short answer...not much, hence the slowness on the posts.  But in case you are curious about a quick update in my life, here is goes:

Last weekend, I went shopping with the mom at Potomac Mills and meet up with aunt, uncle, and cousins for dinner:

Sunday: Picnic Lunch, trail walk with CJ, grocery store, cooked dinner for CJ, Kathryn, mom, Diane, and me, Youth group

Monday night: dinner with Kristi & CJ, we kept thinking maybe Baby B would be born, no such luck!

Tuesday night: ran errands to get the last of the stuff for Corbin's birthday party:  MATER theme!

Cake I ordered!

Wednesday: Lunch and Target with Kristi (still no baby B), where we found the new Chris March line of Halloween wigs...what a cute little momma to be!

Wednesday night: finished all my craft projects for little Corbin's birthday party, including making the gift bags, a race flag banner, and birthday garland.  Plus I got some good cuddle time on the couch with this one:

Thursday night: The plan is for a hokie cheering gathering at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch at least part of the hokie game before going home to pack for the weekend away.

Friday: State Fair of VA after work :) Farm animals & Fried Oreos, here I come!

What have you been up to this week?

Happy Birthday Anna (a little late)

So this is like now 5 days late posting, but hopefully Anna will just be getting caught up with everything in her world so it will be like perfect timing :)  My bestie, Anna Banana's birthday was on Saturday, September 14th but she was also coming back from a mission trip to Africa, so we will be extending the birthday celebrations!

Anyway, Anna and I initially meet years ago at JMU when I would come up to visit my friend Allison, but the date that I remember most fondly was when Allison had her big end of the year dinner/project and we were all at the same table.  I forced my brother to come with me that day and we all had a great time:
Old School Style: Allison on the far left, Anna, andy and me on the far right.  WOW we were YOUNG!

Then a few weeks later, we all went to the Jason Mraz concert at the National, it was pretty awesome.  I still to this day remember a geeky kid there that we talked to and he was wearing a pink shirt for "Geek in the pink" and was trying to become friends with us so he could get to the front of the stage too!
Jason Mraz concert!!!
Who knew these two events would be the start of a budding friendship?  Well the years went on, Anna graduated from JMU and got a job in NOVA for a few years.  Then as luck would have it, she took a job in Richmond and if not for Allison's persistence and the fact that she sent something by way of me to get to Anna in Richmond, we might not be the friends we are today!  As it was, Anna and I meet for our first official friend date at Nacho Mama's and from then on, it was like we had always been friends.  Our common bond of Allison made us close--cause if we could share this cool chick as a best friend, why then could we also not be best friends?

Anna and I share an affinity for cookies and Margaritas!

And low tolerances, here we are waiting out our drinks in the parking lot since we were both buzzing :)

We have certainly grown up for the days of early twenties and have matured (somewhat) and grown in our friendship!

A love for musicals together--here we are at Mary Poppins with CJ!

I love Anna's quirkiness and fun attitude, we went so far as to have a Mustachio Bashio themed party for her birthday last year.
Seriously?  What's not to love?

And although this year's birthday is more low-key, it doesn't mean we are any less fun!  There is still lots of fun to be had!

Anna, I am beyond blessed to have you in my life and I am so thankful for how so God-orchestrated our friendship has been!  I can't wait for the days when we are in the nursing home having Margarita Mondays :)  (well after all, maybe I can wait a few more years for that!)

Weekend in Review

So I was going back through old posts to try to find some pictures for my scrapbook and turns out I used to not be as picture happy in my blogs.  So I hope you all are enjoying the new picture heavy format.  It makes my life easier cause it means less writing :)

Anyway, this weekend, I hung out with these two lovely ladies Friday night!  We grilled out, decorated cookies, and watched Zero, Dark, 30!  Go watch it, NOW!  Like seriously!

Someone had a cookie

Someone else had a cookie too!

Cookies all done!

Then I got up and on the road Saturday morning.  I was headed down to Norfolk to help Tiffany and Josh for the weekend again and so Josh could go to the race in Richmond.  I got there and Tiffany and Corbin were at the beach so I got some quality time with this dude:

Garrett

Then they came back, Corbin got a nap and after said nap, Corbin and I went for a walk on a beautiful day:

Wheelbarrow Fun

Saturday night, Tiffany and I barely survived with the three little boys before Josh got home in the middle of the night. Then Corbin and I got our bonding time first thing Sunday morning:
Being shy first thing in the morning!

After getting up and ready, Corbin and I got dropped off at the Botanical Gardens while Josh and Tiffany braved the warehouse store to stock up on groceries with the two babies.

I love my truck, GaGa!

The gardens have this really cool kids play around, complete with a water fountain area, which Corbin obviously loved:

Then cause he was being so great, he got a special treat, cue the blue tongue again:

After a fantastic morning with my favorite little (almost) 3 year old, we headed back to the house for lunch and naptime for all, except Lala, who helped out by doing laundry and dishes (a never ending battle at their house).  Plus I got to hang with this dude for awhile:

Hello, did you know I was cute?

Wow, two babies, one adult--this might get a little crazy!

Since last weekend, I got Garrett in his favorite onesie, I thought it was only appropriate to get Holden in his favorite onesie too:

TRUTH!

This was taken right before he spewed vomit all over himself and then me!  Good times!

Overall, it was a tiring but fun weekend!

As good as my word...

I promised in Tuesday's post, I have more pictures to deliver. Cute babies all around.  Little baby Garrett was the chill guy this past weekend so he got a lot more camera time than Holden, but I will try to make that up this weekend!  And of course, my little guy, Corbin got PLENTY of Auntie Lala time!

His shirt says "I dig the Hokies" and has a excavator on it!

I would have to agree Garrett!

OMG little baby feet!

Garrett asleep in grandma James' arms.

Well good morning Little man!

Stella Love!

Cross my heart, Auntie Lala is my favorite :)

Holden Man in the car seat!

Garrett in the car seat!

This boy can eat!  This was breakfast #2 and he woofed it down!

Hello almost gone scone!

Well good morning world!

All in all, I think we can all agree that Tiffany and Josh make some freaking adorable kids!
